Inside the Blogger’s Studio: Pile of Babies

pile of babies logo - compressedWelcome Pile of Babies - we’re happy to have you Inside the Blogger’s Studio! This series is a way to get to know other bloggers, while also getting a glimpse into the life of a fellow parent. Who doesn’t love feeling like they aren’t the only ones going crazy???

One of the best things about doing Blogger Idol was making it to the finals with Pile of Babies. She’s a blogger who isn’t afraid to make you snort when you laugh. And trust me, she’ll make you snort. Go check her out – you’ll be happy you did. She made me a better writer each week in the competition and I’m grateful to her.

With that said, let the questions begin!

If you had to sum up your blog in two sentences, what would you say?

A whole lot of nonsense about a whole lot of nothing. I make you feel normal.

What thing did you do today as a parent you wish you could take back and do over?

I wish I’d played with my kids a little more. But there’s only so much My Little Pony versus Battleship that I can handle.

What thing did you do today that you are happiest about?

Went to the Polar Bear Plunge and watched the crazy. I have a deep appreciation for crazy.

What is your least favorite activity to do with your children?

Feed them every half hour. THEY NEVER STOP EATING.

What is your most favorite activity to do with your children?

Cuddling. I also enjoy squeezing butts and bellies.

When your child drives you absolutely crazy and you want to scream a curse word, which word do you wish you could say?

MOTHERF!CKING MOTHERF!CKER.

What’s your favorite lie you have ever told your child?

I haven’t told them any really awesome lies. We’re a little too honest, if anything. Just wait till they tell you all about their penis or vagina and who they going to live with after Mommy and Daddy are dead. It’s good times.

At what moment did you realize that you really were grown up?

When I had my kids. Until I was someone’s mother, I was just someone’s child.

  1. I am so not a good liar either and your curse word happens to be my choice one, too!! Loved this and thanks for sharing!! :)

  2. we too are honest-possibly-to-a-fault parents, but there was one thing I told my son that I still very much like. Not exactly a lie – he was scared of ghosts, and he didn’t want them to say “boo!” because he found that to be too frightening (he is an enormous wuss. We are talking cartoon ghosts here) and so I told him that nice ghosts could say “HA-CHA-CHA!” (Think Borscht-Belt elderly Jewish comedian style.)

from then on he would say “HA-CHA-CHA!” whenever he saw a ghost, or whenever he wanted to be a ghost. It was hilarious.

  3. Thanks for an awesome interview!! I too wish I could play more with my kids but there is only so much Beyblade action I can handle! So glad that they play well with each other now!!

  4. What a great idea to do an interview. I love this! I always feel like I could play with my kids more. But it can be so boring. I love to read to them – that’s my favorite.

  5. Great series and wonderful answers. Will definitely be checking this blogger out!

  6. Fantastic! I feel exactly the same on pretty much everything!

  7. Holy cow, I feel the same way about the eating thing lately. I’m always asking them, “How can you be hungry AGAIN?!?!?” By 2 pm I’m completely out of ideas of stuff for them to eat. It’s pretty much Goldfish crackers from then until dinner time.

  8. What a great post! Two awesome bloggers that I love to read (ok, I don’t usually comment, but this was fun!).

  9. like you, until i had my Aavah i didn’t know i was a grown up. A lot of responsibilities come with having a child and boy did i realize all that.. Found you from Bloggy Moms
