Welcome Mother-naked - we’re happy to have you Inside the Blogger’s Studio! This series is a way to get to know other bloggers, while also getting a glimpse into the life of a fellow parent. Who doesn’t love feeling like they aren’t the only ones going crazy?
Mother-naked is one of those bloggers who truly tell it like it is. She’s truthful, embarrassing and just wonderfully refreshing. She’s worth reading.
With that said, let the questions begin!
If you had to sum up your blog in two sentences, what would you say?
Parenting is insane. If I didn’t write this shit down I would never believe it.
What thing did you do today as a parent you wish you could take back and do over?
I explained to Love Monster (my five year old) what the phrase “feast your eyes” meant. Now she’s showing everyone her ass. Awesome.
What thing did you do today that you are happiest about?
I got the poop stall in the work bathroom!! It has sexy Victoria’s Secret perfume in it and everything. (I know that’s sort of lame, but the day is young. I have high hopes for dinner.)
What is your least favorite activity to do with your children?
Play Hide and seek. They suck at it (especially Smirker, my three year old. On top of the coffee table? Seriously. Get better.)
What is your most favorite activity to do with your children?
Make recycled crafts!!! You would not believe the amazingness Love Monster can make with a spork, a box, coffee stirrers and duct tape.
When your child drives you absolutely crazy and you want to scream a curse word, which word do you wish you could say?
F@CK BALLS!!! That pops into my head every time. I usually resort to saying Godd@mmit, which isn’t much better…
What’s your favorite lie you have ever told your child?
It’s a tie between the Poo Poo fairy’s existence and that carrots are candy. I told Love Monster when she was two that one and she believed it for a year.
At what moment did you realize that you really were grown up?
When on a plane I had to shove my cardigan between Love Monster’s legs when she couldn’t hold her pee anymore. I remember thinking, “So this is my life.” Then she looked at me with such sadness and embarrassment I held her tight, pee and all, and realized I would do my damnest to never let my girls get hurt. It’s you and me ladies.
