On a whim, I decided to enter a writing contest called Blogger Idol. 160 blogs entered and 13 were chosen to compete – and I was lucky enough to be chosen for that Top 13! Wow. I’m excited, thrilled and ready to puke. Why, you ask? Because each week we are given a writing prompt to write a blog post about. Once that post is published on the Blogger Idol website, readers and judges vote for the best one and the combined score makes up the highest and lowest scores. The blog with the least amount of votes each week is eliminated. Yikes. There goes my rumbling stomach again. What have I gotten myself into???
So now, my awesome readers, friends and mother who tells me she reads the blog daily but I have some doubts, I ask for your help. Each week I’ll need your votes to help keep me in. However, I want you to be honest, if you like a post better than mine, it’s ok, I won’t hate you for voting for them. It’s a group of some amazing bloggers so I’m not sure what they were thinking putting me in there with them, but heck, I’m scrappy, I’ll take them on.
My first post will be up next week – I’ll let you know when and where to read it then. In the meantime, I’m going to go to the liquor store ASAP, we are definitely going to need more martinis in the house for this one…

I saw that the other day!! Congrats! I was going to enter but I forgot about it and missed the deadline by one day. Next year for sure. I’m sure you will have a blast. Good Luck
